Prana Yoga Basics
Tuesdays @5:45-7pm, West OTY
This
class is perfect for the beginner, yet offers refinement for even the
most experienced yogi. We begin to build the foundations of poses
(asanas) and flow here, as we build our practice step-by-step. We cover
all aspects of yoga practice, including standing poses and inversions.
A great class to start with, that grows with you as you progress. We explore various forms of yoga, and include relaxation and aromatherapy.
Prana Flow Vinyasa Yoga, Intermediate
Tuesdays @7:30-9pm, West OTY
This class is for intermediate through advanced students. Many options are given within the flow of class, so you can customize the practice according to your needs. Working with the movements of prana, as inspired by Shiva Rea's style of yoga, including moving through a mandala (circular) practice, we will explore our range of motion and refine our practice. We will express through movement, and be inspired through music. Inversions are part of this practice as well. Most of the class is heating and solar, ending with a lunar phase in order to help encourage a good nights sleep. Sometimes, the optional use of aromatherapy and essential oils are used in order to help promote relaxation and muscle release.
Yin Yoga
Thursdays @1-2:30pm, East OTY
This
class is suitable for all levels, and is the ultimate gift of relaxtion! Yin yoga contains the ancient, and some say original, form of asana practice. Yin Yoga works with sensation and stretches deep in the connective tissues and joints, relative to the more superficial yang tissues of muscles and skin worked through Vinyasa and
Hatha Yoga Class. Yin Yoga opens up these deep, dense, rarely touched areas that
can't be reached in a faster paced yoga class. Poses are held for longer periods
of time, so new depths of practice can be reached, deeper ranges of motion, and
an increased flow of energy to the deeper tissues of the body. Yin Yoga is the
perfect compliment and balance to the more active, yang practices such as Bikram
and Vinyasa. It's a mid-day class you can take, and not worry about getting sweaty as go back to work or run a few errands! We will explore long holds in poses held close to the ground. Promotes deep release, peace of mind, and stress release. Sometimes we will have the option
of exploring aromatherapy to help promote further release, as we listen to the mellow sounds of ambient music.
Prana Flow Vinyasa Yoga, All-levels
Thursdays @6-7:30pm, West OTY
This
class is for healthy beginners up through advanced students. Many options are
given within the flow of class, so you can customize the practice
according to your needs and current level of practice. Working with the movements of prana, as
inspired by Shiva Rea's style of yoga, including moving through a
mandala (circular) practice, we will explore our range of motion. We will express through movement, and be
inspired through music. Inversions are often a part of this practice as well, and guidance and modifications for inversions will be given to newer students. Sometimes, the optional use of
aromatherapy and essential oils are used in order to help promote
relaxation and muscle release.therapy.

This
class is for experienced beginners, through advanced students. Many
options are given within the flow of class. Working with the movements
of prana, as inspired by Shiva Rea's style of yoga, including moving
through a mandala (circular) practice as a way to explore range of motion. We will express through
movement, and be inspired through music. Inversions are part of this
practice as well, and guidance and modifications will be given to those who need them. Most of the class is heating and solar, ending with
a lunar phase in order to help encourage a peaceful beginning to your day and weekend.
Sometimes, the optional use of aromatherapy and essential oils are used in order
to help promote relaxation and muscle release.
Prenatal Flow Yoga
Sundays @10-11:30am, West OTY
This class is designed for the expectant mother. We not only experience yoga and movement in this class, we also build relationships and connections with other expecting mothers in the Omaha area. Support and education are built into this yoga class, in order that you may have the most optimal pregnancy and birth experience possible. We explore different breathing and coping techniques for labor, and sometimes invite in our partners/friends to learn skills for "labor day". Guest presenters also join us, as we go on the journey to motherhood together.

This class is perfect for the beginner, yet offers refinement for even the most experienced yogi. We begin to build the foundations of poses (asanas) and flow here, as we build our practice step-by-step. We cover all aspects of yoga practice, including standing poses and inversions. A great class to start with, that grows with you as you progress. Sometimes essentail oils and aromatherapy are used to help create a sense of relaxation and release.

Family Yoga: Family yoga is a fantastic way to introduce your family to the benefits of yoga. We will explore yoga through the eyes of a child, through music, dance, stories, and games. We will practice many traditional yoga postures, as we stretch and move our bodies. Parents will learn yoga poses they can do at home with their children. Siblings, and Dads are welcome! Grandparents too! Currently held monthly at One Tree Yoga's West Omaha location.
Mommy & Baby Yoga: Mothers with babies ages 6 weeks to one-year old with enjoy this class as we explore movement, breath, and relaxation with our children. A sense of community with other Omaha area mothers is fostered, as we all share the gifts and challenges of motherhood. Bring a blanket for your child, and get ready to have FUN while you get fit! Held once a month, usually on Sundays @8:45am at One Tree Yoga's West Omaha location.

through a mandala (circular) practice as a means to explore our range of motion. We will express ourselves through creative
movement, and be inspired through music of many genres, as the integration of music with yoga practice is a trademark of Lotus House of Yoga! Inversions are part of this
practice as well, with options and modifications given to those who need them. Most of the class is heating and solar, ending with
a lunar phase in order to help encourage stress reduction and a peacefulness you can take with you through the rest of your day.

"OmMama" Prenatal Flow Yoga

This class is designed for the expectant mother, and her changing body.
We not only experience yoga flow and movement in this class, set to inspiring music, we also build
relationships and connections with other expecting mothers in the Omaha
area. Support and education are built into this yoga class, in order
that you may have the most optimal pregnancy and birth experience
possible. The class will focus on releasing the low back, hips,
shoulders, and sciatic area. We will explore different positions,
breathing and coping techniques for labor. All levels are welcome, as
we go on the journey to motherhood together.

Partners Birthing Workshop
Sundays @4-6pm, bi-monthly.
September 19th & November 7th
This workshop is designed to help prepare the expectant mother, and her
support partner, for the journey of labor & birth. We will touch
upon the process of birth, and will practice breathing techniques,
coping techniqes, labor positions & massage, as well as birthing
positions. Your support person could be anyone that will be there for
your birth, your partner, mother, sister, friend, etc.

pilates-based movement within the format of a yoga class, and sometimes
use balls and bands for variety. Working with the movements
of prana, as inspired by Shiva Rea's style of yoga, including moving
through a mandala (circular) practice. We will express through
movement, and be inspired through music. Most of the class is heating
and solar, ending with
a lunar phase in order to help encourage relaxation.
Sometimes, the use of aromatherapy and essential oils are used in order
to help promote deep release.

Private Instruction: Available for individuals and groups in the Omaha area.
