Yin Yoga
Mondays @8-9pm
This
class
is for any level, any age. A very relaxing, mellow approach to yoga. A great place for someone new to yoga, or someone looking for a way to melt away stress and balance their more active activities of the week. Almost all poses are done lying on the ground, allowing gravity to do the work for you, with effects similar to getting a massage.
Sometimes, the optional use of aromatherapy and essential oils are used
in order
to help promote relaxation and muscle release.
Prana Flow® Vinyasa Yoga
Tuesdays @1:30-2:30pm
This
class is for experienced beginners, through advanced students. Many
options are given within the flow of class. Working with the movements
of prana, as inspired by Shiva Rea's style of yoga, including moving
through a mandala (circular) practice as a means to explore our range of motion. Elements of Anusara alignment and heart-based themes are also part of this practice as we express ourselves through creative
movement, and be inspired through music of many genres, as the integration of music with yoga practice is a trademark of Lotus House of Yoga! Inversions are part of this
practice as well, with options and modifications given to those who need them. Most of the class is heating and solar, ending with
a lunar phase in order to help encourage stress reduction and a peacefulness you can take with you through the rest of your day.
Sometimes, the optional use of aromatherapy and essential oils are used in order
to help promote relaxation and muscle release.
Basic Flow Yoga
Thursdays @6-7pm
This
class is great place to start, but a little more active than the Beginning Yoga Class on Monday nights! This is the class where
beginners learn the fundamentals of a yoga practice and begin to integrate it into "flow", and more experienced students can re-visit the foundations of a healthy practice. We'll give you
the essential alignment principles you will use in any yoga class you attend, and we'll cover all the standing
poses important to opening and strengthening the body, as well as the
stretching, relaxation, and breathing practices yoga is famous for. We'll also
teach you to the
building blocks of a more flowing Vinyasa style of yoga. Sometimes, the optional use of aromatherapy and essential oils are used
in order
to help promote relaxation and muscle release.
Candlelight Prana Flow® Vinyasa Yoga
Thursdays @7:30-8:50pm
This
class
is for experienced beginners, through advanced students. Many
options are given within the flow of class. Working with the movements
of prana, as inspired by Shiva Rea's style of yoga, including moving

of Anusara alignment and heart-based themes are also part of this
practice as we express ourselves through creative
movement, and be inspired through music of many genres, as the
integration of music with yoga practice is a trademark of Lotus House
of Yoga! Music choices in this class are more mellow and relaxing, in order to support the evening practice/ candlelight vibe. Inversions are part of this
practice as well, with options and modifications given to those who
need them. Most of the class is heating and solar, ending with
a lunar phase in order to help encourage stress reduction and a
peacefulness you can take with you as you transition home, and get ready for an amazing nights sleep!
Sometimes, the optional use of aromatherapy and essential oils are used

options are given within the flow of class. Working with the movements
of prana, as inspired by Shiva Rea's style of yoga, including moving
through a mandala (circular) practice as a means to explore our range
of motion. Of my weekly offerings, this class has the most elements of Anusara alignment and heart-based themes are a signature of John Friend's teachings. We will celebrate the convergence of these two styles of yoga as we express ourselves through creative
movement, and become inspired through music of many genres, as the
integration of music with yoga practice is a trademark of Lotus House
of Yoga! Inversions are part of this
practice as well, with options and modifications given to those who

Friday 6-9pm +Saturday 11:30am-5pm | Asana Embodiment.
We will experience our bodies in 12 key asanas. Please bring a camera

"before" pictures of yourself in the key asanas. We will then begin to
discuss the energy lines, key actions, and alignment of these essential
poses, and several other essential vinyasa poses, and explore how we
embody our energy both on and off the mat. The "after" pictures will be
taken at a later workshop, and this journey will serve as a learning
tool for seeing how our asanas and practice grow as we grow.
Sunday 10am-5pm | Assists + Modifications + Props for Essential Vinyasa Asanas.
In this portion of the workshop, which can be taken separately, we will
continue our discussion of alignment and integration of asanas. We will
then take this to the next level by learning hands-on assists and
modifications. We will also explore prop usage and how they can help to
make the asanas accessible to all students, as well as make some asanas
more challenging for the intermediate student.
